Publisher’s Summary
Includes a special one-chapter excerpt of Blown by an Inconvenient Wind, by Hildred Billings.
Lydia Kellerman
Lonely Lydia has little to look forward to during her long days working at the local LGBT resource center, except greeting multimillionaire heiress, Maxine Woodward, who drops by every week.
But Maxine could barely care who Lydia is. Maxine’s a faraway dream, the ultimate fantasy for young lesbian, Lydia. When she attends a high-class fundraiser at Maxine’s country manor, the last thing Lydia expects is for her dreams to come true!
Dancing. Flirting. And a one-night stand that leaves more than her heart racing and her body shaking.
But the fantasy comes to a halt when Maxine tells her young lover to leave. Now. Because Maxine Woodward does not let girls spend the night.
Maxine Woodward
Fresh from the most toxic divorce this side of the Sierra Nevadas, Maxine is the last person looking for love. Lust? Yes. Most definitely. Sex is the only thing that keeps Maxine distracted from ex-wife Penelope, long enough to function.
Lydia was supposed to be just another one-night stand, until the society pages misprint that they’re dating. Then all hell breaks loose – both in Maxine’s legal life, and in her heart.
Will these two finally admit that there’s something more there? Or will Maxine’s obstinate personality and Lydia’s nerves get in the way of something special?
First step? Staying the dang night.

Not generally a fan of these authors but this read converted me.
I loved the verbal exchanges between the lead chapters, the simplicity of the tale, and the general positivity of the story. I have listened to it multiple times. I also appreciate the length of the story itself. It is a favorite for me.

I like the story line.
I didn’t like the voice for Max. She sounded like a very old rich lady and not like a handsome butch. I read the book first. Then told my wife she should listen to the audiobook. I was disappointed of the voice for Max.

Get ready for a surprise sleeper, this book is great!
I loved books by these two writers, but I wasn't sure about this one basedon the synopsis...Boy was I wrong! This one was a sleeper, it was fantastic from start to finish! The only problem I had withit was, it is too short. There are several th8ngs that wer left hanging. I would like to see what happens with the main characters and the ex. Hopefully there are plans in the works for a book 2.

Quick titillating listen.
If you've read the synopsis I need not repeat it here. The audio is almost 4 hours, so it wraps up quickly. What does one do when escaping a bat shit crazy ex.... My headline says titillating because the sex scenes were just that. Good enough story to keep me focused.
The narration however was not a boost to this production. I found by slowing down the speed it helped. I cant quite say what was wrong only ....it sounded like a pre stereo audio, tinny and flat, like an old radio with the "Tone" button all the way on.lol
Younger listeners are thinking wth is a tone button. Chuckling here.

The narrator
The story itself was fun and enjoyable. The narrator nearly destroyed this book for me. The voice of Maxine was overly dramatic and hard to stomach. I enjoyed the story.

Great love story
This is an awesome story of love and romance and it will entertain you all the way through
-
Forbidden Desire
Maxine’s bitter divorce was finally over and she was trying to pick up the pieces. Lydia works in an LBGT resource center that Maxine sponsors. It may be that they can meet each other’s needs. Erotic romance and story. Recommend.

My ears are buzzing
from how much I am putting in my favorite categories. B. Roeg voice is melodic and hits my core to my toes and back. The book had me after the first chapter and caress me all the end and left me wanting for more.
