a nice overview of 3 icons of American history
not bad. not bad at all. the author presented the lives of these 3 icons of American history in very broad terms. much of it you already know. entertaining non the less and worth the listen. the worst part of this book was the publishers (I assume) use of a couple of bars of patriotic music at the end of each chapter. it's incredibly out of place. I've listened to closed to 100 audio books and never encountered this. not only is the concept odd, but if you like relaxing at night listening to a few chapters, the sudden LOUD music is a surprise mind "gut punch" that you will hate.

Good History: Lame Politics
The writing and narration are very good. The occasional transparent jabs at the Bush Administration are a bit strange for historical works, but, the writers are myopic journalists and not historians. It is still a good listen.
