Publisher’s Summary

Pounding music. Sculpted men. And a conspiracy that could cost far more than a few dollar bills….

Detective Blake Knight has been undercover before. But an assignment to bust a steroid ring running out of Dallas’ elite male strip club means his new cover will be nothing but his own taut muscles and oiled skin. It’s one thing for the tough, by-the-books agent to take down bad guys with his gun. Facing a rowdy crowd in only a G-string is another story…especially in front of his new boss, gorgeous, mysterious Reese Landon.

Her father’s club and shady business practices bring back terrible memories for Reese. But when he’s shot and goes into a coma, she vows to protect him the way he never did for her. That means keeping the police at a distance – especially sexy, driven Detective Knight. If she has to give him a cover job, it would be a crime not to put that glorious ass on stage. But no matter how good he looks in a Velcro uniform, she can’t trust him – or give in to the undeniable heat between them. They’re both chasing the truth. And it might expose more than either wants to show….

“There’s dancing and then there’s dirty dancing. With the backdrop of a male strip club, this steamy romance has a large dose of danger to boot. Adding to the dynamic are lead characters who are both dealing with abandonment issues that have driven their career choices. Dangerous Moves is a highly entertaining and cohesive suspense novel with an emotionally satisfying romance that will keep readers glued to the page.” (RT Book Reviews)

    Picked for the narration

I chose this book because Callie Dalton and Teddy Hamilton narrate it. The story wasn’t as strong as I would have liked, but there were some interesting twists and turns. I am still giving it 4 stars. It wasn’t bad, I was just expecting more sizzle.

Story: 4 Stars; Audio: 5 Stars!

This is the first romantic suspense that I have read by this author and as always, quality writing. Romantic suspense isn't a go-to genre for me, but I do usually enjoy it when I make the time to read it. I liked the characters and the mystery plot, but have never been a fan of strip clubs in my fiction or otherwise. Yet, the club was only a setting fixture in the beginning of the story. It only factored in peripherally throughout the rest. Overall, I enjoyed the mystery and romance, but the story didn't always flow organically and some scenes felt a bit forced. Not enough to stop reading, but enough to notice and somewhat take me out of the story. The mystery was also a little predictable, but that never bothers me since I enjoy seeing how everything ties together. I must say, it all tied together seamlessly and was well thought out. (I received an ebook of Dangerous Moves from the publisher in a Goodreads giveaway. In the spirit of the giveaway, a review is suggested, but not required.)

I interchangeably listened to the audio and the narration was superb. Callie Dalton is a favorite narrator of mine and the sole reason I purchased the audio to go with my ebook. Teddy Hamilton was new to me, but was also incredible.

Hot cop going undercover as a male stripper?

Okay, I loved Magic Mike, so I am just the type of person who would love this kind of story. I've never read anything from Karen Rock before, but I am so glad I took a chance on this. It was HOT--(much in thanks to Callie Dalton and Teddy Hamilton, both of whom are amazing narrators of the sexy variety). I see there's another in the series coming out this summer and I hope it's about Nash!!!!
