Publisher’s Summary
This book is made up of 33 chapters. Each chapter is a different basketball question that needs to be answered. Some of them are obviously crucial (example: what’s the most important NBA championship?) and some of them are secretly crucial (example: was Kobe Bryant a dork?).
But all of them are approached in ways that (I hope you think) are smart and fun and nuanced. Also, you should know ahead of time that some of the pieces go a bit sideways sometimes, like the chapter that ends up just being the script of an action movie, or the other chapter that’s actually just a bunch of lists and nothing else. Basketball is fun. – Shea

Silly fun with statistics to back it up
This book was clearly well thought out and researched and it was absolutely hilarious. Some of the chapters could be hard to follow in audio format because of stats or years. And the narrator had some epic mispronunciations. Most glaring referring to Dan Majerle as Dan Majorly instead of the actual pronunciation. But if you want to know who the best fictional basketball player of all time is, hear the rankings of fun things like the most disrespectful dunk in history and figure out who’d be better at being on the Jazz and at being a bear Karl Malone or an actual bear, you will enjoy this book. Very funny and well worth your time.

the narrator doesn't know ball
some of the pronunciations were funny, especially Celtics and Dan Majerle. But good for Shea!

incredible
Not a book fan but the images really drew me into the book so I decided to give it a shot. What a great decision that was, this book was awesome. Hilarious and unique, genuinely a good time. Buying his other book very soon for my upcoming trip, can't wait to listen.

Great for NBA fans
This book is a great listen for NBA fans. I really like the way he writes. It is funny and informational. I am definitely going to find and read everything Shea Serrano has published.

For anyone who followed NBA in the 80's - today
I loved this book. The narrator was awesome but he continually mispronounced a few names, like "Dan Majerle" as " Dan Major-ly". Maybe that shouldn't have bothered me but it did.

Great performance of a uniquely entertaining book
I don’t know why people are complaining about the performance. If it wasn’t for the fact that he kept mispronouncing ‘Robert Horry’ and ‘Dan Majerle’, I would have thought Sean Crisden was the author. And I blame the producers for not catching those, not Sean. This book was sublime. I laughed out loud A LOT and found myself pausing to watch YouTube clips of the moments I didn’t remember. This approach pays dividends, they’re all out there and worth the look. Shea’s unique approach of 50% fantasy land, 50% hard-core statistics creates a delightful juxtaposition that’s never boring and frequently hilarious.
